Steps for installing WordPress and WordPress Multisite using Softaculous through your Account Management Panel (AMP) or cPanel.
Softaculous makes installing WordPress very easy and fast, allowing you to manage your WordPress Websites in a central location.

Install WordPress
- Access Softaculous
- On the Softaculous page, click on the WordPress icon
- Click the Install Now button
- Select the protocol, HTTP or HTTPS
- HTTP is used when you want your site to load without an SSL, which is not recommended as the site would be vulnerable to attack
- HTTPS is used to ensure your site only loads with HTTPS protocol and an applied SSL, protecting your site from attacks
- Choose the Domain in which WordPress is to be installed from the drop-down menu
- Choose your Site Name and Site Description
- Select Enable Multisite and Disable WordPress Cron boxes if desired
TIP: In most cases, you'll want to leave these options unchecked.
- Choose an AdminUsername, Admin Password, and Admin Email
IMPORTANT: These credentials are very important and should be written down or stored in a password manager. Please ensure you use a valid email address. - Optional Advanced Options
- Database Name & Table Prefix
- Here you can choose the Database Name and Table Prefix
TIP: WordPress uses default prefixes like wp_ . Since your login details are stored here, it is recommended to change these to something easily identifiable to you. This will also help secure your database tables from possible hacks.

Auto Upgrade
- We recommend turning on Auto Upgrade features to make sure your site is up-to-date and secured

Backup Location

Here you can choose where your backup is stored in cPanel
NOTE: It is against our Terms of Service to store backups on your hosting disk space. But this is a great way to take a backup of your website for you to download to your personal machine and remove from your cPanel.
