The following steps detail how to enable/disable ModSecurity using cPanel. This will help resolve 406 Errors and Login Temporarily Disabled notices.
It is not recommended to disable ModSecurity for long periods of time. This can leave the site vulnerable to attack. If you are not sure whether or not disabling this feature is the best option, please contact Technical Support for further assistance.

Enable/Disable ModSecurity
NOTE: ModSecurity (aka mod_security, security2_module, or modsec) is an apache module designed to work similarly to a Web Application Firewall, to help protect websites from certain types of attacks.
- Log into cPanel
- Locate the Security section, and click ModSecurity
- Each website will have a small box to the left of the domain which you can toggle to enable or disable ModSecurity
- When the change is made, a green confirmation message will appear in the upper right corner of cPanel
