This article covers how to change file permissions on a file in the File Manager in cPanel. cPanel allows file permissions to be changed through its web interface, rather than requiring you connect over SSH in order to modify the file permissions.
File permissions determine whether the file is writable, readable, or executable and which group of users can access them. Typically these will not need manually modified.
