At Web Hosting Hub, we provide free cPanel migrations, provided a few conditions are met. Migrations involve seamlessly transitioning websites, emails, databases, and other digital assets from an existing hosting provider to a new one, ensuring minimal disruption.
Here, we cover the situations where a full cPanel migration can be performed for free at no cost for new customers coming from other hosts.
Qualifications for Free Restoration
- The cPanel must be migrated in full
- For a partial migration, where only some website files are being transferred or the email isn't being transferred, you will need to submit a Website Transfer Request
- The cPanel migration is performed as-is
- That means it cannot be used to merge or split cPanel accounts
- The free migrations are performed using a full cPanel Backup
TIP: See our process for creating a full cPanel Backup to better understand what is required.- Partial backups or backups in an abnormal format do not qualify
- If this is not possible, you will have to migrate the site manually or submit a Website Transfer Request
- Full cPanel backups have one of the following naming conventions
CAUTION: Please note that renaming a backup file that is not a full cPanel backup to match these conventions will not allow the backup to be used for the free migration.- cpmove-userna5
- cpmove-userna5.tar
- cpmove-userna5.tar.gz
- userna5.tar
- userna5.tar.gz
- backup-{MM.DD.YYYY}{HH-MM-SS}userna5.tar
- backup-{MM.DD.YYYY}{HH-MM-SS}userna5.tar.gz
