Images are a vital part of customizing your WordPress or BoldGrid website. Whether advertising a product, explaining an idea or process, or used as an element to grab the reader's attention, choosing the right image, and the composition of said image, is often critical.
Cropping is one of many essential factors to consider when it comes to adding images to your site. To crop an image is to adjust, or remove, the edges of the image or photo to improve framing, focus on the image subject, or change the size or ratio of the image. In short, cropping is used to improve an image by removing unnecessary parts.
Here we cover the steps to crop an image using the built-in tools in the WordPress dashboard.
