Here we discuss images on a site that are not showing properly. We need to determine if broken images are being hotlinked. Hotlinking an image means the image is being served from an external source, such as 3rd party website or web server. Typically reuploading the image to the server that is hosting the website directly will help restore the image.
The Error message for the image may display as:

Resolving Broken Hotlinked Images
- Visit the website and load the page from the browser
- Right-click on broken image and choose View Image or Open Image in New Tab
- Note image URL in address bar
- If image is not served from same domain as website, the link is hotlink protected
- If image does not appear when visiting the image's URL directly, the link is broken
- If the image is Hotlinked, upload the image(s) to the site's hosting server or through the site software and link the image from there
