The default configuration of FTP on cPanel servers restricts the number of concurrent FTP connections from a single IP address to 8. If this limit is exceeded you may receive an error such as "421 Too many connections (8) from this IP" in your FTP client when attempting to connect.
Here we detail three methods to rectify this issue - manually closing the connections from cPanel, limiting the number of connections in your FTP client, and increasing the limit in Root WHM.
