This article is going to explain the process of requesting a tax exemption if you live in a state, country, or business with tax-exempt status. The full list of states and countries with the exempt status can be found at the bottom of this article along with the effective date.
Tax exemption is applied at the "Account Level" and not at the "Subscription Level." This means that all existing and new subscriptions on a tax-exempt account will receive the exemption.
If you require certain subscriptions to be tax-exempt while others are not, the customer must purchase separate accounts or split the subscriptions between multiple accounts.
Request Sales Tax Exemption
- Request a sales tax exemption by emailing salestax@webhostinghub.com
- Include the following information in the email:
- The primary domain or username of the account
- Account Verification
- Name of the exempt organization
- Tax Exemption documentation
- Tax Exemption Number or Employer Identification Number (EIN)
TIP: If already exempt but were still charged Sales Tax, including the Receipt ID(s) the tax was applied as well.
- Include the following information in the email:
- Await a reply from a representative regarding the exemption requests status

- Connecticut (CT) effective July 1, 2020
- District of Columbia (DC) effective January 1, 2021
- Hawaii (HI) effective January 1, 2021
- Iowa (IA) effective June 1, 2021
- South Dakota (SD) effective January 1, 2021
- Texas (TX) effective July 1, 2020
- Washington (WA) effective April 1, 2020
- West Virginia (WV) effective June 1, 2021
- European Union (EU), all effective January 1, 2022
