Add CNAME Record in cPanel

Here we detail how to add a CNAME DNS record using cPanel's Zone Editor.

Changes to DNS records can take 4 to 24 hours to propagate.  

Create CNAME Record Using Zone Editor

1. Log into cPanel for the domain
2. Locate the Domains section and click on the Zone Editor
   
   
3. Click Manage next to the appropriate domain
4. Click the down arrow beside the +Add Record button and choose Add "CNAME" Record
   
   
5. Add a Valid Zone Name 
   CAUTION: Make sure there is a . on the end of the Zone Name
   EXAMPLE: mail.domain.com
   
6. Add a Valid Time to Live value (TTL)
7. Add the needed text to the Record field
   
8. Click Save Record
