The DNS entries for a domain may become bogged down with duplicate entries and other issues. This article will detail how the DNS Zone of a domain can be reset to the cPanel defaults.
Reset DNS
CAUTION: Any custom DNS entries need to be re-added after this is done.
IMPORTANT: The DNS in cPanel will only take effect if the nameservers are pointed to Web Hosting Hub.
- Log into the cPanel account
- Click Zone Editor in the Domains section
- Click Manage next to the domain that needs its zone reset
- Click the Actions dropdown and select Reset DNS Zone
NOTE: A popup will appear, warning that the zone will be reset to its default state. - Click Continue
- Allow 4-24 hours for DNS propagation
